There were seven Covid-19 related deaths reported in the last 24 hours, six of which were local.
The total number of recoveries stood at 358,726, translating into a 93.95% recovery rate
This brought the total number of cases in the country so far to 379,473.
Dhaya Maju-LTAT named the government and the Transport Minister as defendants in the judicial review application, where it is seeking permission to have the merits of the case heard in full.
Tan, who is currently at large, with Taman Pusat Kepong registered as his address, allegedly owes the government RM2.706 million for 2010, RM22.09 million (2011), RM35.479 million (2012) and RM1.538 million (2013) through notices issued on Sept 30, 2020.
The reasons for the discharge were not immediately known.
High Court Judge Datuk Muhammad Jamil allowed the application by Abdul Azeez’s lawyers due to “special circumstances”.
Kit Siang said that while he did not agree with the court’s decision, he did not take any legal remedies such as initiating a Judicial Review to challenge the decisions.
During cross-examination by Apandi's lawyer M Visvanathan, proceedings got heated as Kit Siang evaded the lawyer's questions about the removal of Abdul Gani as attorney general and about the charge sheets which Abdul Gani allegedly prepared in 2015.
